I collaborated with Keshet, the most prominent LGBTQ+ Jewish org in the country!

Hello, friends! How are you?

Are you cold? I’m cold, and I’m angry about it. I want to punch the wind.

I come to you today with news of a big collaboration. I have finally worked with Keshet, which is basically the Taylor Swift of LGBTQ+ Jewish nonprofits.

For those unfamiliar, Keshet ("rainbow" in Hebrew) advocates and provides programming for the LGBTQ+ Jewish community. They’re a big name around these parts.

I’ve been wanting to work with them for years, but I didn’t know how. I had to figure out what my humble little operation could offer the Taylor Swift of LGBTQ+ Jewish nonprofits.

Keshet offers youth programming but is not in desperate need of college counseling for their teens. That wasn’t going to work. But I realized that I possess several desirable qualities in addition to my college counseling skills: I can write, I can ask good questions, and I have a platform for sharing ideas.

I am the editor-in-chief of a publication called… My Blog. I am also the editor-in-chief of a publication called This Newsletter. Sooooo I’m actually a pretty big deal.

I invited Keshet’s Youth Programs Manager Sawyer Goldsmith to do an interview for my blog, they said yes, and the piece is up! We had an interesting and nuanced conversation that will give prospective participants a good idea of what to expect when attending Keshet’s youth programs.

I’m grateful to my collaborators and very proud to have this piece on my blog! I hope you will give it a read.

Eurovision does not usually make headlines in the U.S., but earlier this month it did. On December 4, 2025, the Eurovision General Assembly convened to determine the new rules for the 2026 competition and, crucially, whether or not Israel would be permitted to participate. Israel is not new to the contest; rather, they have been participating since 1973. You probably find this curious because Israel is not in Europe, but neither is Australia, and they have been participating for years. For...

Hello, friends. I am trying something a little different today. Today’s topic has nothing to do with being Jewish or LGBTQIA+. It has nothing to do with Israel or the polarization on college campuses. Today I am going to talk about the depiction of the college process on a little show called Gilmore Girls. Writing about my usual topics is meaningful but a bit heavy. Gilmore Girls, however, is exceptionally fun, and I could not pass up the opportunity to talk about it as I rewatch the series...

Hello, friends. I hope you are well. I am checking in on the eve of Yom Kippur with a heavy heart and an upset stomach. The ongoing, seemingly never-ending war in Gaza is making me want to throw up. Earlier in the war, I attended events at my synagogue to discuss it, but I have stopped. They held a discussion about Zohran Mamdani, and I didn’t attend that either because the major headline about Mamdani is where he stands on Israel. I wish we had more space to talk about other things. I had...
